Flu vaccination bookings now being taken. Daytime, evening and Saturday appointments available and ‘walk in clinic’s. Please contact the surgery for more information or to make a booking. Please be advised that there are 2 vaccines this year, one for over 65 and one for under 65. The receptionist will require your age to book you into the correct clinic.
Care DataThe roll-out of NHS England’s patient data sharing scheme is to delayed until the autumn. This is to allow time for a clearer explanation of the scheme. You can read more about Care Data and if you would like to opt out of the scheme you will need to complete the opt-out form. Please return this to the surgery.
Repeat PrescriptionsRepeats prescriptions can be requested by filling out our online form. First you will need to get a unique user name and password from Reception. For more details click here.
Cancelling Appointment If you need to cancel your appointment please remember to let us know by telephone or use the cancel form.
The midwife holds a weekly antenatal clinic. Appointments are booked by the midwife and not by the receptionists.
The practice nurse holds a weekly child immunisation clinic by appointment every Thursday afternoon. Appointments can be booked via the receptionists. Babies must have had their six week check by a doctor before they can book into the immunisation clinic.
Contraceptive care is provided by one of Nurse Practitioners during surgery hours. Pre-bookable appointments are available for our Women's Health clinics which are run twice a week
Appointments can be booked with our Nurse Practitioner or Practice Nurse for smears and discussions of women's health issues or in one of our specific women's health clinics.
The surgery is able to carry out minor surgical procedures by appointment. The doctors will be happy to advise you on this.
The doctors are happy to carry out medicals, eg insurance and driving licences, by appointment outside surgery hours. Please telephone the surgery for an appointment. Please ask at reception for the charges for these services.
The practice has two midwives who provide ante-natel care. They are based on the first floor of the building.
The practice has its own private travel clinic www.mytravelclinic.co.uk. Please contact them directly to discuss your travel vaccinations. A charge will be made for certain immunisations and vaccinations which are not covered by the NHS. It is useful to fill out this travel vaccination form before attending the travel clinic.
An influenza vaccination is particularly recommended for patients with heart, lung or kidney disease, diabetes, and residents of nursing and rest homes. Please contact the reception staff from mid September onwards for details and to make an appointment.
Please call after 14:00 to enquire about your test results as our reception staff will have more time to deal with your request between these times.
Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.
When you take your test you will be told how long it will be before the results are returned to the practice.
It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if your are advised to do so.
